Nice cont. half leather with gilt title and marbled boards. Boards a little rubbed and corners slightly bumped, a few small wormholes in the hinges, only very mnimal staining to prelims and a little scatted light foxing to a few text leaves and plates, overll a very nice set. * Rare German work for young people describing unusual landscapes and rare animals. It is divided into a large number of articles and there are many of Australian interest, and most are illustrated with a plate. These include articles on the Cassowary, Sidney in Neuholland (descibed as a 'Wunderstadt'), the KangarooAboriginal burial huts in Diemens-Land, the elephant seal of King Island, the Wombat and the Blue Mountains.
