Old stamps on titles, some scattered foxing in the margins here and there, very nice and clean. * The best and most complete edition of the only surviving major book on architecture from classical antiquity, edited by by Poleni and Stratico, Polenis successor at the chair of mathematics at Padova University. It contains Vitruvius's 10 books of architecture with critical commentary and 143 folding engraved plates. The last volume contains other related writings, a lexicon of 137 pp., and an historical and geographical index. The whole is prefaced by a 123 page survey of manuscripts and major editions printed between 1486 (editio princeps) and 1812.
